Dreams in Venetian Violet

This article is not entertaining or interesting by any means .So don’t complain after reading it. This is just one of those pieces which people usually write and store it as a notepad file just for self satisfaction, never to disclose it to anyone, till the day some nosy cousin looks at it and shouts out and then all the memories come flooding back.

Everyone says it all happened in a flash. To me it was exactly the opposite; all the events of the afternoon took place in an ultra slow motion. She walked through the long hall in a pink dress. Now I wouldn't lie and describe her as a beauty or anything. I was all sleepy and woozy from the tasteless mess food and the long walk from the hostel to college. So a girl in pink wasn't exactly what I wanted. I went back to what i was doing, sleeping. The events that took place after this are not vivid in my memory. Four months later this happened.

Chetan bhagat in his book 3 mistakes says “There’s something very special about girls in white dresses, they are absolutely irresistible”. I couldn't quite comprehend the meaning of the statement until I saw her in a violet salwaar (and yes, that's how this article got its name). Refer to the previous article where I mention the effect of black hair on a violet salwaar. This is the same salwaar. Words just cannot portray her beauty. A simple flat sandals, a silver bracelet that sat perfectly on her wrists, semi - wet hair giving the appearance of a newly bloomed flower, the earrings which move synchronously with every word she mutters, the Eyes which hypnotize you the moment you look at them and the flowing black hair where you can get lost and never find your way out again. And there I stood mesmerized by this beauty. I made it a point to know more about this girl who can metamorph from a dull college girl to a mind numbing creation by god.

I had always thought there was nothing more to this girl than just good looks gifted by her parents, this turned out to be the case for a lot of time. The thing with girls is that they surprise you every now and again with what they say and do and I am no exception , I have had my fair share of surprises from the female species but none of them even came close to the period when i slowly started realizing what the violet salwaar was made of. I’ll not get into details of this period. Lets just say " Guys, Once you get married , just lay back , relax and give your pay check to the lady of the home , she is more than capable of taking care of every hurdle that comes her way " .

The best thing that a woman can do to a man ( don't imagine things :P ) is listen to what he is saying without thinking about how it will affect her or what implications it will have on others , and this violet salwaar has a masters degree in listening . The way she empathizes with you , the way she comes firing with her questions , the way she laughs and feels happy just because you are excited about something , the way she knows you are whining but still is interested in the nonsense you are saying , the way her eyes talk more than her lips , the way that carefree little child inside her jumps out when no one is around , the way she starts a topic and leaves you guessing , the way she takes the backseat when you are around although she is very much capable of doing it herself ,the way she starts those little fights, the way things always seem simpler when you look at them from her point of view , the way that fake anger comes out every now and then , the way even the dry mechanical equations get interesting when she discusses it with you, the way she brands everything as cute and non-cute , the way she feels sad for some issue which has no relevance , the way she mocks people’s language . All this just make you look up to the sky and say " you biased bas***d “.

Don't know where all this came from, maybe it’s from the boring train journey or the overhyped woman's day. I know this is a lot to ask for but still, Wish this Venetian violet dream woman could be real some day.
