The usual suspects :)

Sathya was the youngest child in a family of three children in a 1980's family. Naturally she was showered with all the love and attention anyone could get , not the usual chocolates and ice creams but something on those lines. Sathya's dad Vardha was a well-to-do farmer . Dont go by the word farmer ,He owned acres and acres of land and lots of cash too . Sathya's mom Lakshmi was a typical 1980s mom for whom family always came first and gossiping the only food she needed. Poo and Thambi were the other two kids in the family . Poo like all village teenage girls had stopped going to school and had tied the knot with a relative boy . Thambi was just finishing his masters in law .

Sathya was in her twelfth standard when Thambi came to know that his little sister who was brilliant in other subjects had trouble understanding the concepts of integration and differentiation .Thambi being a law graduate didn't have much of an idea about maths , so he asked Shekher , one of his close friend and also a resident of the same village to help Sathya with her subjects . Shekher was doing his bachelors in commerce and had a good reputation (of being a geek :P ) . He didn't hail from an affluent family . So things were not as easy for him as it was for sathya .

As cliched as it may sound , it was love at first sight for Sathya and Shekher . Their personalities complimented each other perfectly. Sathya was outspoken , aggresive and had a charisma about her . Shekher on the other hand was deep , hardworking and had an amazing aura to his personality . Their love story continued in the dark for sometime . But nothing remains in the dark for long . Sathya's uncle soon discovered this and happened to see the both of them together in a movie theatre. Being a typical village uncle he bashed up shekher . The reason being shekher was from a different background and sathya was from a higher echelon in the village . I don't know why this happens but getting beaten up actually makes the guy want the girl more . They carried on with their love story.

Six months later Shekher got an offer from a bank and had to shift to Kerela for his first job . Sathya also got an offer as a teacher in a primary school ( ironically the subject was maths ) and she accepted it . Telephones were a rarity in those days, so the Government of India helped to continue this love story through its postal service . The letters reeked of the usual romantic overdoses like I don't know who said Kerela is God's own country , How could this be God's own country when the goddess is there ?? .

Vardha wanted to arrange the marriage of sathya . But being the headstrong female that sathya was , she just said I am not marrying anybody else even if its kamalhassan . Vardha didn't want to take any of this bullshit from sathya . He replied You either get married to the guy i say or you can walk out the door right now. Sathya didn't even blink . She just walked out . Her mom cried , begged , fought and finally gave up .

This was all too sudden for shekher who had arrived on leave to his village .Even he had his share of problems from his family . If a girl could leave everything behind in matter of seconds just for you , is there even a need for a second thought??
The couple got married on 8 th june 1987 .Not even a single member from sathya's relatives were present at the wedding. An year later they had a baby boy . And as all typical village love stories end , the family was united once the baby boy was born . And twenty one years later the baby boy decided to pen down the love story of his parents :)

P.S : I didn't know this love story for 19 years until one of relative blurted out a few things :P
